Happy New Year!

It’s the first Monday of 2023. As I sit to type this, I wonder what will be different? How will you ensure that change will occur? We all know the scripture in Habakkuk 2:2-3.

“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (KJV)

As I reflect on this scripture, I have 3 takeaways that I want to share. The first is pretty straight forward. The plan that God has for our lives, is already set. It’s a plan that He, our Creator, designed just for you. In your own unique way with all of your little quirks all to give Him glory. It’s a plan that you may already know, and are on the journey to fulfilling it. Or, you may not know the plan, but get a glimpse with each faith step you take. Either way it’s God’s plan for your life to give Him glory. You can rest in the fact that it’s not YOUR plan. It’s GOD’S plan for your life. So, because the plan has already been written; before you were even thought of, before you were even in your mother’s belly (Jeremiah 1:5), then it’s safe to say that you can’t change it. You may take a few detours along the way, but you can’t change God’s plan.

The second takeaway is that since you know it’s God’s plan. You’ve prayed and fasted and God has shown you what His plan is or what your next steps in life are, it’s up to you to decide what you need to do to partner with the plan. What life change must occur in order for you to see what God has ALREADY planned for you? How must you partner with God? So many of us think that we don’t have to do anything except pray and trust God, but that simply is not true! James 2:17 says, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” You must partner with God for your plan to be alive! Remember faith without works is dead! Work your faith!

Finally the third takeaway is that you will have to prepare as you wait for your plan. The vision is for an appointed time. You do not know when the phone call, or conversation will occur. You don’t know when the pivotal moment of God’s plan will occur. You are not made aware of God’s exact timing of the plan, so you must continue to do your part and prepare. Be vigilant in your season of life and continue to work on what has been revealed to you. God is not man! He can not lie. Has he spoken something to you? Has He shown something to you? If so, He will make it good. (Number 23:19). Because you trust the Creator of all, keep working the plan God has for your life.

I pray that you have an amazing 2023 partnering with God to fulfill the vision He has for your life!

God Bless you!
